Hi, Here are my results: This report shows the total number of points awarded for each section. The maximum number of points is 400, to pass you need a score of 320. Section Summary: Section Max Actual Points Points General Con: 100 96 Documentation: 70 55 OOD: 30 24 GUI: 40 33 Locking: 80 80 Data Store: 40 40 Network Server: 40 40 Total: 400 368 I would like to say thanks to all of you. I don't want to list the names of the people who helped me, because it would be too long! I have waited exactly 5 weeks for my results. - I had lock/unlock method open to the client - I didn't have LockManager - I used NIO for File I/O - I did cache the database - I had single-threaded client I find my results fair. The most important part for me was the locking, so I am happy with my results. I would like to say specials thanx to the people, who convinced me in using simple design. Best, Vlad

Ach ! German discipline ! If Andrew didn't have broken the results rule by himself here, I'd possibly have missed your result ! Thank you Andrew. Hi Vlad, I feel so happy for you ! You did a great job, and as you felt uncertain about your results, waiting 5 weeks as you did must have been ugly. But as Andrew wrote above, we told you you would pass, and I even added "with a high score". We'd better have bet some money on it ! As Ulrich wrote above, "the belgian beer is waiting at "La grand Place" in Brussels". I'd just add an 's' to "beer". BTW, I don't remember the exact rules : did both of us have to pass before it happened ?! If true, we'd better break that rule (one more ) ! All best, Phil.

Hi, Vald: Congratulations! You did greate job on server and loking. Could I ask you some questions? "- I did cache the database" Does that means you read all the record when you start and save them to an array or Vector? How do you save the file when the program is running? Or you just save file when exit? "- I had single-threaded client" Does that means when you run in alone mode, you don't use any locking? "-I had lock/unlock method open to the client" What does it mean? -- What are the contents of suncertify.properties file?
Peter
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
