Fellow Ranchers,
Well, this would certainly have to count as one of nicest Valentine's Day presents I've ever received.
What can I say? JavaRanch is a special place (but then everyone reading this already knows that). I'm indebted to the people who created this site, the people who keep this site up and running, and of course to all the people who contribute to this site.
I'm deeply appreciative of all the help, insights, and inspiration I've received from everyone who contributes to this site. It's not possible for me to thank everyone by name, but I would be extremely remiss if I didn't specifically name and thank the following people:
Max Habibi (for "the book" of course, but also for hanging around the forum answering questions and for arguing with Phillippe)
Ernest Friedman-Hill (for explaining how the event handling
thread works in Swing; something I should of known, but didn't)
Andrew Monkhouse and Mark Spritzler (for answering questions and moderating the forum)
Phillippe Maquet (for his prolific and invariably interesting postings, and for arguing with Max)
Ken Krebs (for generously sharing his design ideas and advice)
Thanks to anyone I may have forgotten to mention. Thanks also to those people who ask the questions. I believe that I don't really understand something until I can explain it to someone else.
Regards,
George
