That is only the blessings of my ALLAH that I have passed the SCMAD exam Successfully.and INSHA ALLAH my ALLAH will help me ever in my life.I pray for every body in this world that ALLAH will give us a true path.
So This is really surprise for me that I have passed the exam successfully.
Actually I was confident abt my paper by heart but I was'nt believing That I will pass the exam,But this the only blessing of my ALLAH.
And congrats to those people who passed the exam.

does cert increase your salary a lot ?

IBM 700 - IBM Certified DB2 DBA Assoicate
IBM 701 - IBM Certified DB2 DBA Professional
IBM 703 - IBM Certified DB2 Application Developer
IBM 704 - IBM Certified Advanced DB2 DBA
No promotion, there are forced to take by my company 
If there are any promotions, I will let you know at once.

anyway, what year you got your first certificate and what cert?
I took my first cert, SCJP 1.2, at Jan 2003. At that time, I just joined my current company, and the 1st task was passing SCJP. My company loves certifications much, and thus, whenever there are projects on certain technologies, she gives us vouchers, and ask us to get certified.
Most of the certifications are paid by the company, except those SUN's beta.
does cert increase your salary a lot ?
No. Getting certs is part of my job.

I wish I had your job... getting certified for free is a dream come true now I'm wondering how am I going to get the money for my next certification, heh I'm adding the SCJP acronym on my name but in your case... it will be a torture to do so
