i just passed scjp today 83%, i missed many on thread since i have not covered this chap very well.
thanks to katy and bert. corey, dancholism and marcus green mock exam is really helful and others within this forum.

anyway..i have a question regarding the exam i have done today.
some one in this forum have asked this question before and nicholas answer the question but i still not sure.

my question is that before the exam we had some questions regarding how familiar the candidate with the exam on every topics.
i answer all as beginner and then the real questions(1-61) is not as hard as the mock exam.
is it because i aswered all of the question as novice/beginner then i got all of beginner questions???
any one has answer "advanced" and got the quesiton still not as hard as the mock exam?

thanks

thanks...

Beny
I am not thinking so. The survay is just for statistical report.
In this i select most of the options as B & A.I am also get the simple questions.just 3 questions in thread.

Hi Benny,

when I took the exam, I chose the highest level on each of the survey questions, and the exam itself was still easier than the "self-test" questions in the K&B book. If your answers would affect the level of difficulty, the certificate would have to reflect that (something like "SCJP High Level") - and it doesn't.

Just my two pennys,

Jan

Thanks to Sundar Murthi & Jan Rotthaus for your reply..

sundar, i got 10 question on thread hehe..how can you only got three hehe..
something wrong with the random question hehe...
but the most important thing is i learned java a lot when preparing for the java cert exam....

katth&bert, marcus gree, dancholism, javaranch is a good resouce to improve our knowledge to java tech...

i am clear now regard the survey question, i thought that the survey questions affected my real exam question.

btw, SCJD must be the hard one to get compare to scjp, scjp must be only the entry to others cert as someone said in this forum.

thanks

Congrad Beny!!!

You did a cool job!!!

Dont worried about the relationship between the exam level and the answer of the survey, it really doesnt matter.

Anyway, you have passed already!!!

What's next?

Congratulations Beny!

There is no relationship between your responses to the survey questions and the difficulty of the questions that you are given.

Thanks Nicholas and Dan Chisholm...

Dan, your mock exam is the hardest and the best one...if i had your questions on the exam i am not sure if i can passed. anyway..your mock exam is really good, and marcus green too...there are good...and java ranch...corey, others...thanks ....

Nick...i am not sure what i have to do next(maybe scjd june 2005)...any suggestion would be good for me,please?

for now, i will study more about thread because i haven't complete this chapter yet, and then try to implement what i have studied so far to make some real application(with appropiate object technique).
i don't want to stop learning java technology ...as CoreyMc said that scjp is just a start/entry to others certification.
anyway, i am not feel confidence to attach this cert into my resume, but i will do convince after get the scjd(the hardest one i think).

This is my reason of WHY i have a plan to take the java(scjp)exam.
no one called me for the interview when i attached only my transcript from my grad dip and my bachelor degree.
BUt when i lie and added SCJP and SCJDinto my resume, they called me straight away at that day i applied....but i refused them and said that i got the job already hehehe ....you know i did not said the truth and
just want to check whether being certified will help me to get a job, or at least take me to the interview level.
i am verry sure that this is not because being SCJP but this is because i said that i was SCJD.

i hope i could take the scjd in the mid of 2005.

anyone who would like to share your exp here???
thanks
