I sat for the SCMAD exam today and scored 86%...

The credits go to the God for blessing me with such knowledge, people who wrote the specs really well, Mr.Hanumant Deshmukh(The Author of the best-selling SCWCD Exam Study Kit from Manning(Second Edition is coming soon )) for understanding my difficulties and guys at WhizLabs for assisting me with installation multiple licenses on different machines...

For those who are preparing for the exam, the following is my preparation....
-I read the specs carefully(SCMAD-related specs are really easy to understand, not like other specs that I've ever read, for example, JSP and Servlets)
-I didn't use any books for the exam, however I read some online articles from IBM developersWork and Sun Developers Network Newsletters.
-WhizLabs SCMAD I won from the promotion in this forum helped me a lot, but I found many simulator-related errors and some questions are mis-placed in wrong exam objective section. Anyway, it really helped me to test my readiness to take the exam.

I do would like to thank Sathya, Alibabra and ranchers who helped me in clearing my doubts on the exam topics in this forum... Of course, thanks a lot, Nick, for your concern and all of the greatest info about cert exams...

I'll be around here in this forum as usual to help others in preparing for the Sun Certified MAD exam...

Hi Ko Ko,
Well done, the score is great, superb, hey even I am trying to do it ASAP. I guess you gave me the answer for my question which I posted a hour ago.
By the way could you please send me the specifications, that you have (e copies). I too have them, but wanna make sure that I am using the same things. If you can, could you please send the sample programs you did also. I am sure that they will help me when I am writting the samples by my self.
Greate work once again, I hope you will be around here to help us to pass the exam like you.

I have answered in that thread already...

Yeah, of course, I can... But I don't have your email address..

If you can, could you please send the sample programs you did also. I am sure that they will help me when I am writting the samples by my self.

I used the samples in WTK 2.1, modified them and see the difference... I didn't actually code from the start... I used them for testing and tried to understand the concepts...

Thanks guys, for congratulating me...

Well done!!!

It is too difficult to reach your expectation as it is 100%.

Anyway, your score is 1.43 times more than mine.

Nick

Both, so that we could study together.

By the way, I have already scheduled SCJP Tiger on 30 Jan 2005, will you go for Tiger as well?

It'll be on Genetic Programming... I'm researching on some problems, where I can apply the GP concept and solve them better than any solutions before...

Nick, you are right... Genetic Algorithm and Genetic Programming are somehow related to one another, even though not exactly... So my thesis will be algorithm-related stuff...

Congrats Ko Ko. I am very happy for you, you have spent a lot of time and work on studying for this exam and I think it really shows that it paid off. Well done.

I completely agree with you about the specs. You will find all the questions taken from the specs and the specs are very easy to read and really helps to understand the concepts.

Thanks, Mark... I also owe you for ur help on me during the preparation for the exam...

Until an author is coming up with a (All-in-one)book specfic for the exam, we will need to be relying on the specs...
