Hi,

yesterday, I took Part 1 exam. It is relatively easier. I read many books for about 2 months, off and on. Besides that, I have J2EE experience of 5+ years.

Please let me know if you have any specific issues with Part 1.

I used Mark Cade's study guide, GoF design patterns, and did many mock exams from yahoo groups.

Thank you guys, now I am getting ready for Part 2 & 3.

Congratulations!!!

I am reading Head First DP, HF EJB, UML Distilled and cade's study guide
and some online materials. Is that should be OK?

How did you prepare especially for Common Arch, security, legacy connectivity, protocols and messaging?

Which mock exams you took?which are good?
I haven't taken any mock exams yet. Please guide me.

Thanks
Vaithiya

I read the GoF design patterns book. Somehow, I didn't like HF design Patterns book much. But the questions on design patterns are very basic.

you can use this link to identify design pattern for a given UML diagram. ( btw, none of my real exam has such questions.)

I suggest to do as many mock exams as possible. If you see at yahoo groups, you find around 230 questions, ( same from Whizlabs?). I can email some mock exams I have downloaded if anyone is unable to find over yahoo groups. You can reach me at happyindian@gmail.com

good luck.
