Passed SCWCD with 91% today. The exam was a bit hard than I expected. I missed out some questions regarding WAR , JSP actions. Head First Servelts and JSP was a very good resource. I also used JWEbPlus from enthuware for mock exams and also mock exams from J2eecertificate.com. I should have gone through the specs too which I missed to do.

Congrats Bela ... great score

I am preparing for SCBCD and my exam is in two weeks time.

I saw your great score (97%) in SCBCD. Can you share your experience on that with us as well.

Any tips for scoring high ?

Any surprises in the exam ?

And did you get time to review all your answers at the end of the exam ?

This would be really helpful.

Regards,

Raj

Stefan's question
What's next? Probably IBMs UML or XML

Bassam Zahid's question
Please update with your exam experience
There were couple of not so easy questions with Deployment (mainly with WAR stuff) and Custom tag part also was tricky and I think I missed some of there. I used Enthuware;s simulator. Attempted all test and went thru all the answer's even if I got them right to make sure why that is the right answer. I was a little disappointed with my score. I expected to cross 95%. Anyways i will take it.

RAJ BHAI's question about SCBCD
I used Valentin Crettaz' quick reference PDF pages which include all deployment descriptor information, life cycle etc. Also went thru SPECs. Mainly used EJBplus and Enthuware;s EJB simulator. Attemplted a,ost close to 10 mock exams and went thru most of the questions with the answers. That was really helpful. also used ejbcertificate.com, Again the key is taking more mock exams. All the best Raj

And regarding Raj's another question
Whether I had time to review all the questions. I guess i completed the exam by less than 90 minutes (both SCBCD and SCWCD). It should not take u much time.

Thanks for you replies Bala ...

When you say you finished your exams in 90 minutes, do you mean you reviewed all your answers as well in that time ?

In my SCWCD exam I finished answering all questions in 90-95 minutes and then took my time reviewing, first, marked questions, and then the rest of them.

Raj

90 minutes include all reviews answering all of them and completing the test. May be 10 0r 15 questions required lot of thinking but others were straight may be bcos I did encounter them in many of mock exams.

Congratulations Bala,

Hi I have just cleared SCJP. I want to write SCWCD. What is the best book for preparation? Is book necessary? Can't I clear using notes and mocktests?
