Hello All,
I finally passed my SCJP exam today with 95%. I am very much satisfied with the scores.
I am really thankful to everyone here in the javaranch forum.

Well before clicking on end button, i was pretty sure about 100% but i faltered badly in Thread section. Got only 62% in that section. All my wrong answers were from that section. In the rest of the sections i scored 100%. Questions were of varied types. I didnt find any question difficult. In threads the options were quite confusing and that took amy scores down.

Well about my preparation, i took almost 2.5 months for the prep. I gave atleast 2 hours for my studying which ncludes browsing javaranch site as well. I studied form K& B and Khalid Mughal book. K & B is a wonderful book. Its sufficient for passing the SCJP exam. Khalid Mughal is again a really wonderful book. Well for passing SCJP what u need is just K & B, in Khalid Mughal u can find topics explained deep inside. Well some of the topics i found in Khalid Mughal were better explained than K & B:
1) Operators
2) Inner Classes
3) Strings

Well i gave mocks as many as i can. K & B mock exam is the one which is very close to the main exam.
I really appreciate the Dan's site. It really lets u learn more and more.

My suggestions for all SCJP aspirants:
1) Threads and GC are topics which u need to take care of
Study these properly and never forget to PRACTICE on these topics.
2) Give as many mock exams as u can. i gave K &B, Marcus Green, Khalid Mughal's and many more(just forgotten the names)
3) Check ur preparation topic wise from Dan's exam. It difficult but worth doing.
3) The questions in the exam are easy but tricky. So be careful. Read the question twice before answering
4) DO NOT FORGET TO REVISE, i just made few of my answers right during my revision
5) ASK AS MANY DOUBTS AS U CAN IN THIS FORUM. DONT FEEL SHY EVEN IF ITS QUITE SIMPLE. JUST ASK IT.

Lastly i would like to thanks everyone involved in maintaining this site directly or indirectly.
JAVARANCH ROCKS, RULES ..................
THANKS ALL

For my next feat, I will require a volunteer from the audience! Perhaps this tiny ad?
