Hi ALL,

I'm a working professional and I had only 10 days to prepare for the exam.
I also don't have much of experience in java.

I referred only two books.
SCJP by Cathy Sierra and Bert Bates.(ITS AWESOME...)
and
Programmer's Guide to Java Certification by Khalid Mughal and Rolf Rasmussen.(you'll postpone the date of your exam after reading this book..)

Hats off to the authors of these books.
My advice to the test takers, "Passing is not all that difficult ... Scoring is .. " so practice ...
Take as many mock exams as possible. That'll help a lot.

I personally felt that I could have scored much more had I had more time..

Thanks Kathie & Bert ...
Thank you all ....

I want to know some thing about the exam preparation.I am planning to take on march 31st,so I have 27days more in my hand .

I am working on Java past 1year and I have full knowledge of Java.

Can you explain me,
is it enough these 27days for preparation and how to prepare for the exam??? I have started already preparation with K&B book.

Please give me tips for how to prepare for exam.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Rajendra

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Well.. 27 days are more than sufficient I guess.

Be thorough with K&B .. Every line is important.

And also go through Khalid mughal .. Its a very good book .. It gives you loads of information ..
But everything is not necessary from the certification point of view.

K&B precisely covers all the topics.

After you are done with material.. then take up Mock exams ..

SCJP is all about practice..
You can score really well if you practice mock exams...

I personally felt I could have done better ..

If you want any help do let me know ..

Regards,

Niranjan Shetty
