Dear All Ranchers,
Yesterday I have cleared SCBCD with 82%. I am really thankful to all ranchers in providing most useful information in this site so that an aspirant like me gets going.
I had a very less working knowledge in EJB as I always work with Servlets, JSP & Java stuff. I was a bit hesitant to take the exam initially as I did not have much experience with EJB.
But thanks a lot to Kathy & Bates for the wonderful HF book. Thats the motivation due to which I statred my preparation just within 3-4 weeks. I want to take the SCEA exam now... but without HF series this time ...

Personally I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting some more %ge than what I have got. Some questions were tricky but not much difficult.

My preparation went as follows :
Revised Head First book twice completely. During that time prepared notes.
Attempted mock exams from ejbcertificate & jdiscuss.
Quick review of 'Exam Prep' from Sanghera book.
Reviewed Mikalai notes. This is really the most useful once you complete the first round of the course.
Study notes materials from Javaranch.

Tips to the future SCBCD aspirants :
Review the EJB spec extensively atleast one week before your exam. Also note any key points to revise before the exam from the SPEC.
Do the HF mock exam sincerely after your entire preparation is done.
Concentrate much on the Lifecycle events like what methods can be called and what not.
Get familiar with the roles in Enterprise environment.

Thank you all once again.

So how long did it take for you?I'm new to EJBs.I started reading HFEJB.planning to give next month.

few questions:
1.How many questions did you get in transaction attributes ?

Way to go Surya!

We're glad the book helped.
