Just back from my exam and I'm pretty damn happy! Was kicking myself a bit over three of the questions I got wrong, I realised my mistakes 5 minutes after I walked out the test centre. Ah well, such is life. I certainly won't be letting it ruin my good mood

Many thanks to K&B for a wonderful book. And also to DaveA Allen, who's notes are ideal for reading for the train. I thought the real exam was easier than any of the ones I'd practised on. Maybe it was just the addition of drag n' drop questions, which all seemed particularly handy. I think the best preparation though, was the question sections at the end of each chapter in the K&B book. Now those were tough. They often tripped me up on little things that I had overlooked. But I made sure to take note of each of these so that they didn't happen in the real thing. I'll probably be paranoid about implicit modifiers and shadowed instance variables for the rest of my life now

I think I'll go for SCJD next. I could do with a break from studying, it'd be nice to do something practical. It's been a while since I had a green-field project too. How long do I have to wait before I can do this one? Until the official cert arrives in the post?
