Thanks Shreedhar.
This is what I did:
Preparation: 1. The K&B book does give good tips on studying for the exam. It also has many other practical tips for registering for a test center and stuff.
I personally used only this book for studying. I wrote lots of small programs to immediately clear any doubts I had. And I added small notes in the book itself whenever I learned anything new.
This was my plan of action:
First read: Slow read to gain an understanding.
Second read: Read again. This time you will find many things which were missed on the first read. Highlight these points.
Review: The highlighted points and the exam tips.
Mock exam 1: Write down all your answers. Note the ones which you missed and why.
Review: The highlighted points and exam tips. But give stress on parts where you scored less.
Mock exam 2: Write down all your answers. Note the ones which you missed and why.
Review: The highlighted points and exam tips. Also the answers missed in the mock exams.
The 2-minute drills are quite good in the K&B book. But I personally did not read them much. For reviewing I used the points I had highlighted for review along with the exam tips. I would say these are customized notes. Points which I did not know or had missed during the initial read. This part just sharpens the areas you lack. I feel this is better than reviewing everything which some people might find a bit boring.
Mock tests:I gave both the exams from the K&B book. One comes with the book and the other is available after the free online registration.
Apart from these, you will find lots of useful stuff like "errata" and "how to use the mock exam" on javaranch.com. [ June 30, 2006: Message edited by: Nishant Shinde ]

Awesome score Nishant!! Congratulations
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
