Hi Ranchers, Thanks for all, giving new ideas and clarifying doubts. I have cleared the SCJP 5 with 91% today. Few things from my experience are * Use K & B book. * During the exam i could feel the experience of going through K&B book. * Arrive at the exam center atleast 20 minutes before scheduled time. * Nearly 20% questions are drag and drop type. * Mark the answer for these questions in a paper as when you revisit the page the answer will be deleted. This will avoid last minute tensions. * Have atleast 2 months preparation. * Take atleast one mock exam each day for last 5 days. Really the mock exams give us clues on very simple assumptions we tend to ignore while looking for answers. * I lost in Threads. Before the exam i am confident about the most parts of execution of Threads, but now i feel there needs to be indepth knowledge for practical purposes. * Generics & Fundametals are other areas i lost marks, but the questions were only relative to K&B level. * We tend to overlook the basic access privileges(protected) while preparing but they really messed with the static and instance variables and methods. * Flow control requires a good concentration while taking exam and its OK. * Classpath is another area where you have to have the basics clear and that will do for any type of exam questions. Be clear about using the packages in classpath and nothing more. * Exceptions requires just following the flow of execution. * One simple thing i missed in garbage collection. * Casting and return types are about the accepted behavior or Runtime Exception. * Streams require the knowledge given in the book and any additional usage behavior will be explained in the question. * Whenever you find something not included in the objective and doubting for the behavior, have a second look at very simple code violation and i had two such in the last minutes. * Trick usually holds with very simple questions that will make us to search for any errors and exceptions but will run well. * A good 8 hour sleep and very clear mind is enough on last day. * Thanks lot for all and all the very best all who are preparing. thanks, Thiyaneshwaran.S [ June 23, 2006: Message edited by: S Thiyanesh ]

Thanks for all
Ashish, Initially to finish the first round of answering it took 90 minutes.During this time i left a few thread questions and moved on. Then during the checking in the second time it took nearly 50 minutes. So i had a 40 minutes time left out. At this time there is little problem in my prometric centre where there was a network failure and i waited for nearly 90 minutes to get it corrected, but there was no problem with time duration. But i feared of the drag and drop questions being getting deleted and verified all those questions once again for the third time and i finished exactly on time.
