Hello .
Today I have passed the exam. Missed 5 answers (mostly drag& drops) .
Used : HFEJB and the specification +
I can only thank Bert & Kathy for the book (again) but the specification is a must. The book alone can not help you and this is made clear by the authors as they always refer to the specs in the notes.
However HF Servlets & JSP was a real help (cause I had no patience to read the specs then).

Tools : Jboss 3.2.8 (although it is not the RI it is very helpful as it gives you the section of the spec where the reason for failure is ) + PostgreSQL for RDBMS.

Now I can finally focus on EJB 3.0 exam which was actually my target..

PS : With the EJB2.0/CMP persistence model in mind as an outdated design I am looking forward to working with EJB3.0 and JPA or Spring and Hibernate .

Thanks Mikalai .

I am sorry I forgot to mention using your guides for final review . You have managed to archive the spec knowledge very well for the exam . This saved me the trouble of going through 800 pages of printed specs in the last days

Thank you all.
Again .

For Bert & Kathy:
Hope you do a good job on the new HFEJB. And please (my personal request) include a patterns & performance chapter this time .

Anyway it looks like EJB3 are very simple compared to EJB2.0 .. but the way you write will make learning EJB3 even easier.

My personal war with EJB 2.0 is over .. preparing for other challenges like EJB3.0/Spring/AOP.

Good luck to every J2EE programmer on the path to certification !
