Hi

I just received my score today and it was amazing 400/400. I'm pretty surprised to get this high a score. I was unsure of the expectation for some of the areas an had therefore expected a score around 350. If you have any questions to my solution or to the assignment, please reply to this message and I will try to answer them.

Con: 100 100
Documentation: 70 70
OOD: 30 30
GUI: 40 40
Locking: 80 80
Data Store: 40 40
Network Server: 40 40
Total: 400

great congratulations!!

As you have perfect score in every department that includes locking can you please share your general locking schema. I have URLyBird with cookie for locking.

If you have any testing code for locking would of great help (testing code is allowed to post on ranch)

Again

Hi

I want to take opinion.

I am not working but I did SCJP(83%) in 2006.
Now I was planning to to do SCJD to gain the real experience and start to look around for the job later. Do you think I can do it without development experience.

Please guide me which books you have used and how one should go by it.

Highly appreciate your response

Thanks

Uzma

Your questions would be better asked in our SCJD forum after checking through the SCJD FAQ and Books Reference.

Hi Uzma

The only book I used was the Java 5.0 Certification book. I used the SCJD forum multiple times whenever I ran into problems. Before posting questions in the SCJD forum, make sure that similar questions have not already been posted and that the answer to your question could not be found by spending 5 minutes browsing the web.

In my opinion I think you could probably also pass the SCJD exam without having any real work experience, but of course it is going to be hard and time consuming. Experience always helps and could save you from some of the pitfalls in the assignment.

If you do not have any development experience at all, then I would not recommend you to start on the assignment.
