Well, it was far more than I had expected in the beginning. I had been working on JDK 1.4 and never ventured into 1.5, still decided to go for SCJP 5.0. K&B was a must before start and then I also got the Whizlabs simulator. Still I thought of spending like 4-5 weeks on it, but that stretched to 8 weeks and still my best score in the mocks was around 75% only. Yet I had to go for it, and so I did, and got thru with 73%. 5.0 exam is real serious tough than any of the earlier ones I think and does involve far more confusing things than earlier versions.
The Drag n Drop questions are far better in the real exam then the simulators and are generally very clear about what they want. One important thing, is to always go through all the qyestions-answers once after you are done, that did save me atleast 3-4 questions.
