I just came back from testing center and i passed the exam with 73%
1. Declaration & Initialization and scoping --91%
2. Flow Control -------- 81%
3. API Content ----80%
4. Concurrency ---37%
5. OO concept ----70%
6. Collections/Generics ----80&
7. Fundaments -----63%.

Thanks Barry for wonderful book. Specially thanks to Chandra and Marc. Chandra's description of Garbage collection and scoping of object, variable cleared all the clouds.

For exam preparation i read K&B(really wonderful book). I used whizlabs and enthuware for mock exams. I started preparing with 1.4 but as i started working in java 1.5 at work so i shifted to 1.5. Due to lot of work i couldn't get the regular time for study which is highly desirable for certification. I was never confident that i will be able to clear it as i scored with whizlab
diagnostic --56%
1st test 57%
2nd Test - 72%
3rd Test -55%
4th Test -61%
5th final Test -61%

Last days score gave me a bit confident to go for exam. i went to exam and the cordinator downloaded 1.4 exam by mistake. Thanks to her she admitted her mistake and paid for 1.5 exam from her pocket immitiately because there was no way around. After lot of tension i went into room and just before 40 min when i was reviewing the question i clicked on end of session and after that i become "JAVA CERTIFIED"
.

tips :
1. Read K&B
2. Do lot of Mocks
3. Lot of Code ( At least given in K&B).
4. Go for It.

Thanks,
Nitin
