I cleared SCJP with 80% (58/72). Although not a greatest of scores, but I am extremely happy. I prepared for exactly one month before appearing for the test. I am extremely thankful to Java ranchers for their kind support. Also, Kathy and Bert for writing excellent book. I would also thank ucertify for their simulator. I had six months of experience in Java development, but that is totally a different thing than going for certification. I was quite sure of passing the test. But you all made me improve my score.

Thank you Shankar. The area that I feel harder was Generics/Collection and concurrency. I scored less than 70% in these areas. Questions are not really difficult. I will suggest that practice as much mocks as you can. I read K & B book. Then went for free mocks available on net, and finally bought a simulator. Although I was not very confident, the mocks and practice tests gave me enough confidence to appear for the exam. I had to complete SCJP within a month(due to some personal reasons).

Ok Sheelpa.
I am going to give the exam on next month end. currently i am reading K&B book. it it very interesting.
Actually i have taken one mock exam with out reading the whole book. That is the bad experience for me. i am planning to take mock exam after completing the whole book.
I will try to take more mock exam before going to the actual exam.
