Can someone suggest me jobs in India for SCJP 5.0. I am a novice and took the exam to enter the field of JAVA. All I have seen here is companies need experiance and no one asking for SCJP certified novice candidate. Its really rediculous as companies just care about relevent experiance and they have a don't care condition for less/no experiance SCJP 5.0 Candidates.

The importance of certificates on the job market seems to be overrated.
Certificates are an excellent means to assess your skills, and a good reason to really study a topic.
But as far as I know, being certified makes little difference when applying for a job.

Go for the experience. There are beginners jobs out there.
Once you have proven experience, you poses something that counts when negotiating for a position. Until then, you haven't proven anything real.

Regards, Jan

Hi..
First of all congrats for your SCJP passing out. Never get discouraged by few of the rejections. You are expert in Java Programming, its proven but apart from that jobs do need some proficiency in other things like sql, xml, server programming etc.

Just prepare your resume well apart from focusing on SCJP.

I believe main motive towards getting certified should be to raise your confidence on the subject and that in turn will help you become more competent.

Surely you should not be discouraged with initial results you had.
Keep on trying, All the best
