Congrates.
Which book you refer?
I am referring K&b.
Is that enough? or i need to refer some other book?
If you have some mocks tests pls forward to me.
Or some good sites for mock exams?

Regards,
Dinesh

Next i will try to achieve SCWCD.

I have decided not wait for SCWCD 5.0 . I will study the 1.4 version, if the 5.0 comes out i already bought a book about JSF, so i will be able to try the 5.0 exam if it comes out before i schedule my exam.

what your experience with scjp? Can you speak?

I work full time as a Java Programmer in a telecomunications company.
If you are knew to Java i recomend reading Head First Java. Its a great book for beginners. About the exam, i thought most of the questions were easier than the whizlabs mock exam. Only 2 questions kept me thinking for a long time. One thing i commited myself during the exam: Not reviewing the questions. Why? Because the first guess you take on an answer USUALLY will be the right one. If you review a question i think it will put more doubt in you, so i just did from question 1 through 72 without looking back. The way i studied: I read the k&b book and made anotations of every important thing i read in a notepad. No mocks at this point. When i finished reading and making anotations, i started doing the whizlabs mock, and scored 40% average, then i used the whizlabs reports to see which topics i were weaker. Knowing the topics i was weaker i started to read the chapters which covers those topics and make more annotations in the notepad and did small programs to test what i have read. Then i started to get 75% scores on whizlabs and did the exam, and passed

Well, i used k&b for 95% of my study time. I used Thinking in Java 4th edition to read the Concurrency/Thread Chapter. But its not necessary, K&B only is enough! The key point is to get your hands dirty, i mean, type small programs to help you learn what you have read. I did 250+ small programs. I have them if someone wants. I DO recomend you to buy whizlabs, the closest mock exam to the real java exam, and its harder! If you are scoring high in it, dont be afraid, schedule your exam.

good luck all!!

regards,
Gunnar Maluf
