Hi guys, my name is Jeffry, I want to share my experience about failing SCJA exam, passing SCJP, and passing SCJA. I hope it useful for all of you.

In 19 July 07, I failed the SCJA exam by 62%. Here's the section analysis:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Fundamental OO Concepts : 62 %
UML Representation of OO Concepts : 66 %
Java Implementation of OO Concepts : 75 %
Algorithm Design and Fundamental : 83 %
Java Development Fundamentals : 66 %
Java Platform and Integration Technologies : 60 %
Client Technologies : 80 %
Server Technologies : 14 %
--------------------------------------------------------------
The only reason I was failing SCJA exam is because I was too underestimated the exam and took it without preparation.

In 27 August 07 I passed SCJP 5.0 by 68%. Here's the section analysis:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Declarations, Initialization and Scoping : 91 %
Flow Control : 90 %
API Contents : 60 %
Concurrency : 50 %
OO Concepts : 60 %
Collections / Generics : 30 %
Fundamentals : 81 %
--------------------------------------------------------------
I used only E-practice exam and mock exams for the preparation.

Now, the last but not least, today (04 January 2008) I passed SCJA exam by 92 %. Here's the section analysis:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Fundamental OO Concepts : 100 %
UML Representation of OO Concepts : 83 %
Java Implementation of OO Concepts : 100 %
Algorithm Design and Fundamental : 100 %
Java Development Fundamentals : 100 %
Java Platform and Integration Technologies : 100 %
Client Technologies : 80 %
Server Technologies : 71 %
--------------------------------------------------------------

Special thanks to Cameron McKenzie's SCJA study guide.

For study guide, I used Cameron McKenzie's SCJA study guide.
Cameron's SCJA study guide is B.A.D. It means:
Best for preparing SCJA
And
Designed for you to get certified fast.
For mock exam, I used E-practice exam from Sun.

That's all about my experience.

Thanks for reading my topics.

Cheers

WOW! Congratulations!

It's amazing how vastly your scores improved your second time around. I wrote the certification guide, and I didn't even get that many 100% scores! (Don't tell anybody though).

I'm really glad my certification guides helped you out. It's this type of feedback that makes putting all that time into writing them worth the while.

Congratulation!
