Hello Ranchers...very pleased to tell you that I cleared the exam on 14/1/2008 with 91%.This community has been very helpful to clear some of the doubts that cropped up during my preparation. For a little background, I am 19,a third year engineering student from the Information Technology stream.I am an academically inclined student with a lot of passion and love for programming.I had a course on C++ and java put together as OOP in 3rd sem.I did a simple banking project in java in Jan 2007. I bought K&B in June 2007 and has been reading it ever since, but could'nt find enough time for active preparation as the previous semester was particularly difficult.By the end of November I finished K&B twice. Then I got December as semester vacation and utilised it as much as I could and scheduled the exam for 14th Jan... I tried all mock exams I could lay my hands on especially from javablackbelt and few other sites.I found enthuware especially useful and my scores were 74,78,73,82,92 in the five exams I attempted. The exam was'nt particularly difficult but I am still surprised that I got questions on the deprecated methods like suspend(),interrupt() etc and from the Math class.I missed nearly 3 questions because of that.Anyways, for future aspirants I would like to say that it's better that they frame their own plan of attack, any schedule that they are personally comfortable with. Finally, if anyone with an experience like mine in java can do it then people with hands-on experience can take SCJP like a piece of cake if they choose to stay focussed... Thanks to all of you who clarified some of my really silly doubts at times... [ January 16, 2008: Message edited by: sugantha Jeevankumar ]

Ouch.. Forgot to notice this. This post has come into an inappropriate thread! Sugantha, there is a separate forum for results! Don't worry. Our moderators/bartenders will do the needful for moving this thread to that forum!

Congrats Sugantha! That's a great score! Let's slide this over to the results forum. Bert p.s. I'll talk to Sun about those deprecated methods and the Math class questions
