Hi, I have passed SCJP 5.0 with 87%. I referred 2 books - K & B and SCJP Exam for J2SE 5 by Paul Sanghera. I read both the books twice (which I finished in 2 months). I took the tests at the end of the books & scored 86 & 91%. I didn't took any commercial exam simulators but I gave many online free mock exams which boosted by confidence.
The exam duration was 235 mins and I had to answer 82 questions out of which 10 questions were extra unscored questions. Phew! that was exhausting.
Now towards conquering the SCWCD title.

Congrats subham even I'm also planning to take the test,request you to suggest me some mocks so that I feel confident before taking the real exam.May you name the sites for free mocks exams.

I am beginner please tell me how many types of Sun certification exams will be there and which is the first one we need to write then what for we should prepare and inform me books also i am waiting for the reply.

http://www.sun.com/training/certification/java/index.xml has the complete details about all the java certifications. SCJA & SCJP (Java) are the entry level certs. The higher level certs like SCWCD (JSP/Servlets), SCBCD(EJB's) SCDJWS(Web Services) requires you to be SCJP cerified first. So start off with SCJP. The book by Katherine Sierra & Bert Bates is a good one to start.
