This week's book giveaway is in the Agile and other Processes forum. We're giving away four copies of The Mikado Method and have Ola Ellnestam and Daniel Brolund on-line! See this thread for details.
Took the Java 1.5 exam toady and failed. I scored 48%. Feeling very low right now despite all my hard work. I used Both the Whizlabs and K&Bs book. Can anyone assis what elso one can do?
how did you do on the whizlabs mocks? Also, your score printout shows how you did by subject area. Regarding the K&B book, did you do the practice tests at the end of each chapter?
Its likely you'll need to read some of the harder topics, like threads (chapter 9) and generics & collections more than once.
You might need to focus your preparation on certain specific topic areas

Passing the SCJP exam requires solving a great number of mock exams as well as practicing the concepts by writing code.
This for sure besides reading the K&B book.
Good luck for the next time.

Don't give up Bola. It almost happens to all people who take the exam.
I had to take 5 times to pass the exam.
You can use K&B's book as your reference and whizlabs mock exams to figure out your objectives.
You must push your mind & creativity to practice what you read (java's concepts) by writing code
