Deep we are happy that Apache/Tomcat was the name for the new forum. U know we are using Tomcat for both servlet and JSP codindgs. Then Apache is alos included here. There were many typical tomcat related posts every week, that's why the traffic dividation was a good decision. I remember a few days earlier than the new forums were announced, many ranchhands demanded a separate forum for Apache/Tomcat....

The Tomcat forum is for question specific to Tomcat. So if you can't figure out how to configure Tomcat or you are getting Tomcat errors then you would post there. If you have a servlet or JSP question then you post there.
I think its good to keep them seperated... some questions are specific to your app server (configuration, installation etc) and those have nothing to do with the general servlet/jsp topics. I say keep them seperate... keeps the forums easier to peruse.... well, when people actually realize they should post their TomCat questions in the Tomcat/Apache forum that is.
We did it just to annoy you. But it seems to have the added effect of making it so there are so many threads that some of "today's" threads had to be pushed to page 2 of the thread list to make room for threads that are only minutes or ours old. We (the cockroaches and I) debated about this split up for a looooong time. Most of the cockroaches agreed with you that the split was a bad idea. But I smashed a few of them and then the rest agreed that I was a brilliant genius and they had never heard of a finer idea. So I was feeling pretty good about this decision until you came along. Well, the important thing now is that I've read nothing here that convinces me to put everything back the way it was. Is there anybody else that thinks the change is a good idea?
