I passed SCJP 6 with 79% today. Thanks to all the ranchers and bartenders who helped me in this quest.
It took me about 4 months to prepare. I used K&B study guide for Java 5 which is brilliant and thanks to the authors of this wonderful book. My advice practice coding and buy exam simulators and take as many practice exams as possible. The exam simulators will give you an idea of how the real exam would be in terms of software look and feel, type of questions(api, concurrency, generics etc) and what it's like to sit and concentrate for about 3 hours. I used Whizlabs after i failed(the reason i think i failed was i did not take any 3 hr long practice tests. Although, i did some free online mock exams) last month and i took about 4 practice exams before i felt i was ready to give the exam. I also think it depends on your luck on the day of the exam as to the level of toughness the questions might appear. So good luck to you all who are in the quest of this certification.
