I just want to take a moment and say thank you to everybody here for helping me clear my doubts and answering my queries. This makes the entire studying process much simpler.
Congrats men.. A little study tips would be nice.... How long did you prepare and what materials did you use

Hey Vidhya, Congratulations!Great score.looks like all your hardwork paid off.I have gone through your posts and you deserve this.. Honestly I have been waiting for your post saying that you successfully cleared ,because I felt all alone when everybody is taking up scjp1.5/1.6 when I decided to give 1.4.I was kinda feeling low...but not anymore. Anyway ,do tell us about your preparation, was K&B alone enough ,how did you find the exam to be compared to the mock exams etc.
I had no experience working in java, except that few concepts i knew were the ones i studied during my bachelors. I got 2 books from our nearby libarary K&B and Khalid. I went through both till i decided which one i should refer. I prefered K&B cause it covers concepts very well.
I spend one full month giving online free mock exams and that period was when you learn the most cause it makes to think of all posibilities that could occur. I didnt buy any exam but tried to give most i came across online free.
And this forum is the best place to learn and share. I used to read and answer threads posted on daily basis which makes you learn and also help others in understanding stuff.
Wish you all good luck for your exams too.
I now need to think about my next step SCJD or SCWCD. Any suggestions or advice would be highly appreciated.

Sumi, dont let anything make you feel low. What matters is how much knowledge you gained from what you did.
Hardwork really pays off. I wish you too good luck for your exams.
Real exam isnt as tough as the mock exams i came across.

Hi All, I am planning to start studying for SCWCD. However i am new most of the concepts listed in the objective for SCWCD.
Can someone let me know the book for basic understanding that i would require to read before starting with HFSJ. Or is it fine to directly start with HFSJ.
Kindly help me with this. Also list of books requried for SCWCD exam as per your recomendation.
