This is the moment I have been waiting for, for 4 tormenting months. I always check this forum and wished that one day I'd get to post my positive results here.

I know 68% is not as high as what everyone seems to get... but I'm soo happy about it!!! Finally it's done!

The exam was extremely difficult! I guess I was unlucky because the question set I got were the tough ones - as tough as those of the mock exams!!! I got like 12++ drag and drop questions! I think most of the generics questions are all drag and drop. It was really scary!

I prepared for 4 months. 3 months actually. I wasn't able to study that much during the last month because I was always partying (farewell parties galore) or packing or doing something else (a.k.a. work, and sadly, we were doing VB at work so there was a little diversion). In those days I was juggling work and japanese and play and scjp. It's bad!!!

I had like 4 years of Java, J2EE, servers and stuffs experience. At first I tried the JavaRanch Rules Roundup to check my level. My first attempt was like 2/12! And those two points are probably guesses . So I thought I should pretend that I don't know Java and read a beginner's book. Heads/Hats/Whatever UP to Head First Java by K&B!!! After I read the Head First book (for one month), at least I'm perfecting the Rules Round up so it's a good start.

After the Head First, I tried the other SCJP mocks and I was failing again so I read the SCJP bible, K&B. I read it twice focusing first on the chapters I mostly feel my weakness (e.g. Threads, Generics, API).

And then I bought the Enthuware Mocks - I never scored high on these mocks but at least passing. And I wasn't able to finish all 11 of them. I was until the Test 6 I think, with scores 63%,64%,65%,67%,71%,75%... I also wasn't able to try K&B Master Exam. Should I have taken all of them then the score must have gotten higher. Nevertheless, thank you very much Enthuware for almost the same kind of questions in the exam. They're equally difficult! They definitely gave me the feel of the actual exam.

I didn't get any questions for the new topics (for SCJP 6).

Thank you to Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates!!! I will form your fan base here in the Philippines/Japan! I hope you will keep on writing good stuffs! Thank you to Javaranch, for answering kindly all my "dumb questions", and to all the links, the information!

Good luck to all SCJP Aspirants, I hope you'll all make it, score higher and go farther! Most especially, pray!

Whew. I'm so happy I could breathe again. It really felt so great!

I just find it cool... this is my 100th post... I hope I'll get the SCWCD on my 200th post. But I'll probably take a rest first!
