From where can I get a list of various types of Exceptions - ie. Runtime Exceptions, Checked Exceptions, Compiler Errors etc?

The Java API. Look up the Exception and Error classes and you will see all of the subclasses for this.

Dear Vineet,
The best source to fine the things for Exception is the JAVA API Documentation. Use V1.3 so that u can come to know the new features also. U can get it form or for free.
