Hi guys! I read this topic at IBM's news site. I didn't like the idea! Won't we receive the original printed certificate anymore? For me, a certificate in pdf format has not the same value as a paper one. Professiona Certification Program from IBM deliverables have now joined the electronic age! No more concerns about your certificate getting lost in the mailroom! With few exceptions, the achievement certificates for Professional Certifications will be sent to the recipient by email. What will you receive? Your Certification Certificate in .pdf format, which can be printed in either color or black and white A series of graphic files of the IBM Professional Certification emblem and for the certifcation you have achieved Guidelines for the use of the IBM Professional Certification emblem When will you receive your email? Within one week of successful completion of the certification requirements

What the hell?? They are just trying to save money. Maybe they should reduce the test fees to $20. This way, any Tom Dick and harry can edit the pdfs and change it. It just wont be the same, there should be an option. Do they think everyone in the world owns printers?? bad Bad.

I suggest we send e-mails to certify@us.ibm.com and complain about this!!! I can't believe they'll do that! What a terrible idea!!! If they send us certificates in pdf format, anyone can falsify it!

Me too Strongly oppose IBM's idea. Can't we send our feedback to IBM somehow? How they intend to put the watermark on the pdf? If they can't put watermark, I am sure soon they will open an authentication service where the employers hiring certified professionals have to personally visit and authenticate all employees.

See what they answered me: Luciano, We have recently converted our certification kits to electronic fulfillment. However, the hardcopy printed certification kits are still available to those candidates who request them. We ask that each time you are awarded a certification, please send your candidate ID and the name of the certification in an email request to certify@us.ibm.com. When the request is received we will be happy to send a certification package. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your interest in the IBM Professional Certification Program. Kind Regards. kdl Customer Support, Professional Certification from IBM PartnerWorld Enablement Services 11400 Burnet Road, Austin TX 78758 Internet id: certify@us.ibm.com
