Hi, Does any of you have problem receiving the certificate from IBM? I passed a websphere certificate exam last Nov/Dec, but I have not received the certificate kit so far (YES, almost 1 year now!). I emailed to email@example.com couple times, last time they said that they tried to mail that to me two times but had problem with my address. But In the email they sent to me, my address is correct. In the latest email dated 08/28, they said they would request a replacement, and I would be able to receive it in 4-6 weeks. now, after 7 weeks, I still have not received it! I am in USA and i asked them to send to my office this time. I am so frustrated! every email took 2 weeks to respond, and 2 months to wait for the certifcateion kit, and then another round of waiting!, 3 round already! I remember it only took a month or so for SUN to send me the certificate. Do you know any number so that i can call to ask them to send me the certification kit right away? or at least I can check it from their web site? Thanks for reading!
Hello Billy, It bothers me deeply to hear this. I can understand your frustration, because I had a (possibly similar) experience. It did take a longer time than I would have liked, but I did eventually receive the cert. Believe me it was worth it. As you have correctly noted, IBM issues the cert via email. I would like to try to help solve your problem. Perhaps it has to do with the profile associated to your candidate ID in their database. I had to fax my SCJP myself, since IBM does not automatically receive it from Sylvan. Another thing I did was to update my entire profile by send email to firstname.lastname@example.org containing:
City / State / Zip
Hope this helps. Don't give up! [ October 30, 2003: Message edited by: Howard Kushner ] [ October 30, 2003: Message edited by: Howard Kushner ]
