I have cleared exam 288 yesterday .
and as always this forum has helped me a lot in acheving this.
Following are my findings which i think will help others.
1) Read redbook (http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg246891.html?Open)
NOTE : from my opinion you can omit chapters 7,8 and 12).
2) Some articles on webservices developer works (ex : jax-rpc,udi e.t.c.);
a) Developer's introduction to JAX-RPC, Part 1
b) Developer's introduction to JAX-RPC, Part 2
3) ws-i basic profile specification (http://ws-i.org/Profiles/BasicProfile-1.0-2004-04-16.html).especially the yellow highlighted points.
4) Practise whatever has been told in the redbook.and also play around those examples.
5) WSDL,UDDI, specifications
6)understand what is being there in webservices.xml and webservicesclient.xml and IBM webserver extensions and bindings.
7) And last but not the least JAVARANCH (this forum);Follow the exam 288 related topics.

Average time : Approx 2 weeks with 3 to 4 hrs a day and extra hours on weekend should be sufficient

Best of luck to all those pursuing the test.

I am seeing that you are also giving the test .How are you preparing for the test. Can you give me some guidelines ..as i see you are "CERT EXPERT".
