IBM 486: which chapters of Larman are necessary for the test?

Which chapters of Larman are necessary for the exam? Should one study all of them? Is it possible to skip a few chapters? I coudn't find a reliable answer to this question.
In a previous post somebody claimed that only the first 12 chapters are to study but I hardly believe it.

Any indication would be appreciated. 486 is going to be discontinued at the end of the year but the last available test is going to be on November 7th, so I'm really in a hurry to finish my preparation and it would be very useful to skip a few chapters.

Thanks and regards,

Claudio

That was my claim.

I'm looking through my Larman book now and my underlinings end at the end of chapter 8. So I guess I only read the first 8 chapters. It looks like the subsequent chapters are nothing more than the artifacts covered in the UML book, though you might get a clearer picture of when to use them with Larman. I didn't need it though because it all seemed pretty obvious, when to choose one artifact over another.

Dear Marc,

Mmm, I almost finished reading all the book and I found some test-related stuff in many more chapters than just the first twelve. But anyway the first ones are undoubtedly the most important ones as far as the test is concerned.

I didn't need it though because it all seemed pretty obvious, when to choose one artifact over another.

Good for you! I wish I could say the same. You must have a good deal of experience in OOA/D.

Thank for your reply,
Claudio

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
