SCEA is the highest certificate for java programmer.
PMP is the highest certificate for project manager.
What is the next certificate for anyone who has both ?

Hi ! Pranav !

SCEA has nothing with programming.

Sun does not have SCJP pre-requisite for SCEA, since it's not programming certification.

Just my 2 cents.

I always love this kind of question. The answer is - depends on what you want to be doing.

I concur with Mikalai that the two you've mentioned are not really programmer certifications, but I think that what you want to start targeting is really based on the direction you want to be going in your career...

I happen to have both those certifications, and what you do afterwards is like what you do after getting any other certification. You carefully put the certification in a treasured place in your filing cabinet, and you get back to whatever you were doing before, simple as that.

SCEA is for Java architect.

Many certifications are waiting you - SCJP, SCJD, SCWCD, SCDJWS, OMG certification, IBM certification, Oracle certification, etc.

... and then try to put all this suff into practice, how to apply this new knowledge to create -more- value in your work, how to improve productivity, how to tackle all these changes at work and how to persuade others that they are due... the real work has just begun -if you want to-.

bye.

well you can always get a PhD degree and then work as an architect and project manager at the same time

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
