I am also thinking about taking this exam but I am not sure it will give me any added value. Ranchers, do you think this exam is worthy ?
I suppose that when you refer to "sw 717 , 718 and 719 and red books" you are talking about the materials that helped you to prepare the exam but for me it means nothing. Can someone, please, explain me these terms or at last, tell me which material is recommended for this exam?

You must register on IBM and retrieve PDFs yourself. Person to person distribution is not allowed. Luckily, getting the PDFs isn't difficult.
There are lots of links at the bottom of this page.
You can get to the SW courses here: SW717 SW718 SW719 (I don't think the SW719 has a PDF.)
I don't know of any redbooks that would be useful for this. Redbooks usually cover a specific tool but this exam is not tool specific.
A good workman is known by his tools.
