No, there is no prerequisites for IBM XML exam.

Open Group Certified Distinguished IT Architect. Open Group Certified Master IT Architect. Sun Certified Architect (SCEA).

I guess what she meant is whether SCJP is a pre requisite for XML Certification, not that SCJP has any prerequisites.
