Hi, I wanted to know how reliable the brainbench XML certification is. Does it have any market value? Will it help me? Regards, Kapil

I'll give the same answer we always give with certifications - it's worth what your employers/your customers/you think it is. It's just a statement that you have above a certain level of familiarity with a topic. I don't think anyone quite puts an actual value on it save for an assurance of that minimum standard...

Vendor certifications always carry more value than the ones administered by others. For instance, Oracle certification from Oracle corp carries more value than the one( if any, ) from Microsoft. Hope you are able to understand this parallelism. IBM has been in the forefront of XML technology and perhaps better recognized in the industry than Brainbench. So, an accredition from IBM carries more value than one from Brainbench. Let me be clear, I am not devalueing the certification from Brainbench. I am just trying to say one from IBM has better visibility in the industry for obvious reasons when compared with one from Brainbench.
