Can You tell me the book "Professional Java XML Programming with JSP and Servlet" will help in preparing the IBM XML Cert? I am a new comer to XML and Can you give some advice on learning that as well as getting the cert? Also, I have known that Microsoft has organized a group of companies for Web Service and XML. Does Sun will lag behind on that?

I suggest that you checkout Professional XML from Wrox. Since the certification does not include specific application implementation( Java related ) objectives, stay away from XML-Java books if your goal is to get certified first. Stay on the generic XML/XSLT/Parsers path. You might want to read one of my earlier posts to get a feel for what to expect and how to prepare for certification. About your question about WebServices, it appears to me that IBM is far ahead of Sun in the game. The main players will be the WebServices and .net from MS. Given the lack of standardization and formal specifications, both of these technologies will take some time to mature.
