Attributes of import element

Hi,
I read in chapter 8 of Professional Schema that for the <xsd:import) element the schemaLocation attribute is optional and the namespace attribute is required. Can this be right?
Because this is what I found in the XML Schema specification in w3c.
"NOTE: Since both the namespace and schemaLocation [attribute] are optional, a bare <import/> information item is allowed. This simply allows unqualified reference to foreign components with no target namespace without giving any hints as to where to find them."
The statement seems to say both attributes are optional.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
