XML encryption and XML signature

These two topics are mentioned in the exam objectives, but are not covered in any of the recommended books. I read the article about XML signature on the IBM website, but didn't think it was too helpful.
Since there will only be one or two questions on the exam about these topics, I don't want to spend much time on them. i.e. reading specs
So, can anyone give me the bottom line of what is important to know about these topics for the exam? I have all the links that have been given in previous threads, but after reading over 1000 pages in the recommended books, I don't want to read anything else. I'm looking for a brief summary.

Not true!
O'Reilly's Java Web Services by Tyler Jewell, David Chappell has an entire chapter about XML security) in the context of webs services. XML signatures and encryption is also taken under consideration.

I meant the three books recommended by IBM. I don't have time to read another one.
