I passed the 141 exam today with 67%.Thanks to all here at Javaranch, for being supportive and helpful throughout.
The exam had 55 questions and passing marks were 58%.I almost had 15 minutes to go through the questions second time.
The exam is quite similar to the IBM's sample exam.Infact 1-2 questions are directly taken from it.
Exam Info:
Lots of scenario based questions, very very similar to the sample exam.
5-6 questions on DOM/SAX,1 ON XSL-FO,1 on XLink,1 on XPointer,2-3 questions on Namespaces.
Almost 3-4 questions on SOAP/UDDI/WSDL(concepts and application).
Major part of the exam stresses on Schema,XSLT,DTD.
Some XSLT functions ocument(),key,id(),number().
ID/IDREF was also asked.I did'nt know what ParserAdapter is.Almost 2 questions on choice between CSS/XSL.No questions were asked from Security and Encryption, however that does not make the topic less important.
Study Materials:
XML Bible,Professional XML Ed2,XSLT Programmer's Reference.
W3C Specs for XSLT,XPath,XML1.0,XML Schema.
ZVON.org,Xfront.com,Articles from xml.com and developerWorks articles from IBM.
The Namespaces FAQ on www.rpbourret.com is excellent ,along with the Namespaces Myths exploded article by Ronald Bourret: http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2000/03/08/namespaces/index.html
I kept on working on Mock exams at
Javaranch,Witscale.com and XML Whiz.
You may wish to try Skillometer's XML exam.
I also appeared for Brainbench's XML concepts exam.
Once again I would like to thank you all at Javaranch.

How do you compare the real test with those of XML@whizlabs?

Thanks.
I just took the trial version of Whiz, and one a scale of 1 to 10,Whiz questions are at 2 and real ones at 9.As I wrote earlier, the exam was a lot like the IBM sample exam.
Practise as much as you can and work on lots of examples.
I forgot to mention earlier that there were some very standard questions on choice between Schema v/s DTD and variable v/s param.

Whiz questions are at 2 and real ones at 9.

Wow. Does that mean the real test is real real tough? Whiz is almost useless in terms of toughness.

Vasudha,
You told that the real exam is very similar to the IBM sample test. Can you please give us the "scaling" w.r.t the toughness b/w the two.
Thanks.

I got 80% in the IBM sample exam and 67% in the real one.I think the multiple choice questions are the real tricky ones.Because when I revised the exam,I had a feeling that I had fared well, but I got only 67.

Thanks a lot. That is very useful info. Are you planning to take the next level of certification in XML?? I guess there is one out there on SOAP/WSDL or something of that nature. All the best to you in your efforts for achieving excellence.

Thank you all for your wishes.
I think only Brainbench has exams on SOAP and UDDI.Are there any other organizations into Web Services certification exams?
