Friends, after passing SCEA Part1, and I am set to appear for XML 141 test in the coming week. I am working on these technologies for 6 months now and have used various articles/tests available. I am still not feeling comfortable and wud like to have assisstance from successful people:
Prof XML (2nd Edition) is the book i have used primarily as the study guide. I have also given various mock tests listed on the links page and the xmlwhiz from whiz at http://whizlabs.com. I am quite impressed with the new version of it with sooooo many scenario based questions. I am getting around 70% in 3 practice tests of whiz. Anyone used this new version may please give his/her inputs.
Which is the difficult toppic for this exam, i shd work hard on? For e..g SCJP has Threads as the fear topic.
Any help for the above queries will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for your contribution to this ever helping place.

First of all, congratulations on your success in SCJEA exam. Please look at this thread and you will get some of the preparation tips in there. BTW, i need a little help from you. Is IBM test486 (OOAD in UML) different from SCJEA which you already passed, and if so, can you throw some light on it.

Hi Jacques,
Well I think the key areas wher you need to work on is XML Rendering and Schemas in context with DTD otherwise you need to have some basic knowledge of all the related technologies and some know how of SAX nad DOM API thats enough you should go through XML Quick Refrence I recommend it greatly.
Praying for your success

Thank freinds, i passed with 82%. The exam was definitely NOT easy unlike SCJP. Lot of trickier questions, especially scenerio based ones where conceptualization, thinking, practical exposure matters more than the theoretical knowledge.
Write more later.

Dear Jacques,
Congratulations on your success!! Thanks for your appreciation about the new version of XML@Whiz. I believe this version is meeting the expectations set by its users.
"Improvement is a necessary change" and we always see a scope. Thus I would request you to provide us your detailed inputs. I am not sure if you've checked, do read the Val's review: http://www.javaranch.com/newsletter/Dec2002/newsletterdec2002.jsp#xmlwhiz
Once again my congratulations!!
Best wishes
Pradeep
