This week's book giveaway is in the OCAJP 8 forum. We're giving away four copies of OCA Java SE 8 Programmer I Study Guide and have Edward Finegan & Robert Liguori on-line! See this thread for details.
Hi Friends Took the exam this noon and passed it Materials used are PXML2, (*****) SKONNARD, (*****) COSTELLA's PP, (*****) ZVON.org, (good examples) JAVARANCH, Last but not least Whizlabs product, It pretty good product with some great questions the business scenario questions, very useful and try to concentrate only on the business scenario questions[If you can, buy it, Whizlabs may provide you two copies one for home and other for work, if you can steal in some time at work to revise here and there]. Also the regular expressions is a must. Got lot of questions on XSL, SCHEMA, DTD, DOM, SAX. This JAVARANCH forum is like a gold mine with lots of tips from various aspirants and others. One more thing there are lots of informations available on the net [information overloading], Just make sure you don't go chasing everything down, Choose any material/book/website you like and continue. Best of luck Harsha [ January 07, 2004: Message edited by: Harsha Jay ] [ January 07, 2004: Message edited by: Harsha Jay ]
Congratulations Harsha. Have you worked on XML before or do you just know the concepts? I am familiar with all the concepts, but can't remember all the syntax and low-level details, basically because I never worked on it. How much of these low level details should I know? Even with the few links that you posted, I feel it's an information overload. Could you suggest one book which I should concentrate and read cover to cover? Thanks, chandana [ January 07, 2004: Message edited by: chandana sapparapu ]

Thanks Chandana, One book absolutely to be read cover to cover is SKONNARD. I was just refering PXML2 here and there, Other than that Rogers PP and ZVON.ORG And pay more attention to the technologies used and why is one preferred over like , which technology is good for searching?, random access? etc Best of luck Harsha

Harsha, thanks for replying. I have one more question though. Skonnard wrote two books on XML, Essential XML, & Essential XML - quick reference. Which one did you use? Thanks.
