Passed Exam with 80%

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday I passed IBM 141 Exam with 80% (44 of 55), First and foremost I would like to thank this great forum, which helped me to pass SCJP Exam also, 8 months back.

For preparation tips and tricks, I dont want to repeat what is already told in this forum,
I just followed what Hari has provided link

Beside dont forget to go thru this link by Pradeep Chopra, and all the XML Exam lists on javaranch.

One more mock up site, which I think as of now not there on XML exam list is www.skillometer.com (you need to register it for free).

With not much practical and theoritical exposure to XML,it took 2 months of 1 to 2 hrs of casual study plus 2-3 hrs of regular study for last one month. However I do feel, giving more time for preparation is of no use, instead if you know you can give regular dedicated hrs daily, 1 months is OK.

Prepare well for senario based questions, plus topic under XML rendering if you want to score beyond 80% (I scored least on this topic ).

Please come as often as possible to javaranch.com

So All the very best for those who are looking forward for XML certification and thanks to Javaranch.com

Cheers !!

I just wanna to know the depth of exam .Just see this mock question ..

Is this kind of depth can be deserve ?

if (x < y)
System.out.println("Eureka");

Referring to the XML data above, if t is the Text node for the
element of a coalescing DOM processor, how do you convert "x < y" to "x < y"?
Choice 1
int lt = t.getData().indexOf("<");
if (lt >= 0)
t.replaceData(lt - 1, 1, "<");
Choice 2
int lt = t.getData().indexOf("<");
if (lt >= 0)
t.replaceData(lt - 1, 4, "<");
Choice 3
int lt = t.getData().indexOf("<");
if (lt >= 0)
t.replaceData(lt, 1, "<");
Choice 4
int lt = t.getData().indexOf("<");
if (lt >= 0)
t.replaceData(lt + 1, 1, "<");
Choice 5
int lt = t.getData().indexOf("<");
if (lt >= 0)
{
t.deleteData(lt + 1, 1);
t.insertData(lt, "<");
}

Hi Sandeep,

I dont think you will get such questions, however you can find questions on DOM2 core specification, or questions on comparison of two major parser i.e SAX and DOM.

Good Luck !!

Thanks

Wondering..Do you get any "Certificate" stating you passed XML certification. ?

How one proves if someone asks to show the proof of passing XML certificate ?

A logo!?
I didn't get one. Are you just talking about the generic "IBM certified" logo.
