Hi Guys,

I wanted to start preparing for this cert. This cert.
seems to be much tougher than Sun Certs. simply because there is
not a single point reference for it.

I wanted to know how you guys are going about your preparation ?
Which books , online tutorials are you referring for it ?
In short, what do you think is a complete strategy for this exam

Any answers will be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

I am pretty much on the same page. I started looking at the "XML success" articles:

http://www.coderanch.com/t/147696/po/certification/Exam-articles-series-developerworks

I ordered the two books listed for self study at

http://www-03.ibm.com/certify/tests/edu142.shtml#ssa

XML in a Nutshell, Third Edition
Authors: Elliotte Rusty Harold, W. Scott Means

XSLT Cookbook, Second Edition (Cookbooks (O'Reilly))
Author: Salvatore Mangano

The nutshell book is an easy read.

Looks like an interesting certfication

I think thats the same story for all IBM exams..
Though main exam questions are quite easy, the study material is very very vast and there is no single point of reference..

All The Best

I think XML Bible is the best guide for this exam. and that's what i am referring to. There is also good site www.xfront.com. Which has good collection of XML schema slides and great exercises like creating schema and validating. It also supplies a tool which can be used for validating schemas.

I am also using Whizlab's Simulator which is also a great tool.
and IBM tutorials.

You can download XML in nutshell and XML bible pdfs from http://www.intelligentedu.com
