IBM XML Certification ---- Worth The Trouble ?!?

Hello Everyone,

As a Java developer with a few years of experience (including some xml and webservice projects) and SCJP certification, do you think that it will be beneficial for me to pursue IBM's XML certification? By beneficial, I don't mean knowledge wise, but rather: would it help land a job, or an interview, or get a raise?

Also, what's in your opinion the absolute best and most sought after certification in the industry (Beyond SCJP and IBM/XML)??

Thanks for your brutally honest feedback!

The value of certification depends on where you are looking for job.

I do not know about US , but for indian job market it is not of much use.

But it looks good in the resume . If during the process of interview a tie breaking situation happens then certifications can be of some use.

Well, it might increase the weightage for your candidature to be considered based on the requirements but may not be really on the other perks, benefits etc.,

Everything has got its own deadline including one's EGO!
