I have taken the exam today, as some others have pointed out some important issues, I feel the exam was much more easier than I expected.

Amoung the 174 questions:
1. You must read Basic Profile 1.0 as detail as possible, around 20+ questions asking the requirements, and restrictions enforced by BP 1.0.
2. You must know what are the usage of each WS APIs, included JAX-RPC, JAXR, JAXB, etc. There are around 10 questions.
3. You must fully read WS security, including SAML, XMACL, etc. The questions are bonus. If you know the basic, you can answer them without thinking.
4. There are a few questions with coding, so, do expect that all questions are conceptal type.
5. DND questions are dxxm. Some even cant see the diagrams!
6. You need to know the WAR, and EAR structures when WS are deployed.
7. Read aboud SOAP structures, around 20 questions about SOAP structure.
8. Understand the UDDI components' relationship.

Good luck to all who havent taken the exam.

Nicholas, do we need to know those tags from web.xml/webservices.xml/jax-prc mapping file in details (eg. any questions like which one is mandatory, which is the correct tag name or given the xml, is it valid or not, etc.)?
since I found that it's impossible for me to memorize all those stuff....

Also, is there a lot of questions on Design and Architecture? tough or not?

Thanks.

There are less than 5 questions that related to Java coding in my test.

No. But you need to know the WAR and EAR files' structure for Web Services.

YES, there are around 20 questions about the design patterns. But if you have studied them from SCWCD and SCBCD, you will find no difficuity for this section at all.

YES. It covers all necessary security components that will be examined in the exam, thus, you should read that chapter.

what is XMACL.

Sorry, it is a typo. It should be: XACML.

For JAX-RPC, JAXR, JAXP ..is it enough to study the sun tutorials at http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/tutorial/doc/index.html to answer any API related questions.

I don't think it will be enough because they are just tutorials and we need more conceptual stuff to do well in the exam... According to the exam experiences posted here in this forum, it seems that JAX-RPC part is the most important part... So we need more resources to study that topic, if possible, in order to understand the topic well...
