JUST OK!!! dnd questions s**k , can't understand why they have them in the first place ,some easy questions were asked in a difficult (not clear) way,some answers were not clear. IMO overall quality of the exam needs improvement.

I think that if you study well, using J2EE Web Services, have a good knowledge in XML and XML Schema, the exam should be medium.
I got have a deep understand in the various J2EE Api's, like JAXR, JAX-RPC, JAXP, JAXB. Also, there a lot of questions based on XACML, XKMS, SAML and XML Digital Signature, for the part of security.
I think that the pass score, based on that exam and on the others beta's, should be around 65-70%.
The exam is OK, whit only a few questions with some typos.
I thought the exam was alright, all told. (I took in on Friday.) I studied quite a bit, having had only the most vague really of experience with it at the office, and I think I understood everything, though there were a few doozies of questions thrown in there. (And I tried not to be too silly in my notes this time.)
I think the pass percentage will probably be 50's to low 60's at best. And I think I'd put my chances at about 50% (no, not the 'Everything has a 50% chance of happening - either it does or does not' kind of chance...)

I would rate the exam as medium and the quality of exam has quite a space room for improvement. sometimes the questions are not clear or not really in the scope(in my opinion) and some of the answers are vague. However, there are also have some good questions on testing our understanding of Java Web Services. Personally, i don't like the DnD questions too. I need to spend quite some time to figure out how to answer the questions. Overall, it is still a good experience for me to learn and took the exam. I guess my chances of passing is 50%. Just wish all those who are going to take the exam in this few days All the Best! Cheers

I just took The beta exam; it had a lot of questions on what was allowed in soap 1.0 or Soap 1.1. I was very glad I had been studying for the IBM XML exam.
I really know nothing about webservices API's. However, related programming knowledge and crash reading of webservices tutorial allowed me to usually elimanate the wrong answers.
does any one know if sun will break the results down on how well/poor I did? Will it just be single pass fail?

I rate the exam as Medium.You have to know very well about soap,wsdl,xml schema,JAX-RPC,JAXR,JAXP,JAXB,endpoint design and security feature SAML,XKMS,xml digital signature etc.I think drag & drop questions are very important.I like the D'D questions. The passing score for beta should be 60-65%. My chances of passing is medium.Best luck for all the exam takers.
