OK! Now we are in the era of post SCDJWS exam. Besides waiting for the result patiently, what else are you folks doing? For me, I am preparing for the MCAD.NET and SCBCD...
I'm trying to adapt my career to a role of Application Software Architect. So I better know both J2EE and .NET technologies deeply. And I found that if you know both, the job market for this kind of role is very good.

Good thinkin Chen I am planning on getting there(Architect) myself, but isn't it more demanding to be good at two technologies at the same time? Are you planning consulting projects or corporate jobs? If corporate - you are pretty much stuck with one technology, isn't it? So I am trying to master J2EE as much as possible and would like to broaden my horizons if I get a chance.

Doesn't have to be stuck in one technology. I just think J2EE and .NET can co-exist in lot of companies. There are lots of needs for the people who understand both.

Yup, especially after takeovers, and trying to get systems to work together. Lots of challenges there! [ June 09, 2004: Message edited by: Tim Duncan ]

You can find a lot of resources from other threads in this forum to prepare for the SCDJWS exam... Even though there is no such book which is specifically for the exam, Richard's J2EE Web Services book from AW is the most suitable for the exam...
Just my 2 cents...

Rather than an in-dept understanding of .Net , I plan to focus on connectors , which again is mostly webservices .
I am also getting ready to move into the java connector area , especially to ERPs .
also looking forward to the upgrade to scea
