How was the BEta exam for these topics in Security.. Explain basic security mechanisms including: transport level security, such as basic and mutual authentication and SSL, message level security, X.509, XML encryption, XML digital signature, and federated identity and trust. Identify the purpose and benefits of web service security oriented initiatives and standards such as Username Token Profile, SAML, XACML, XKMS, P3P, JCP, WS Security, and the Liberty Project.

Thanks,
Santosh

Hi Santosh, Seems like this forum is not visited by many becuase the Beta results are being awaited.. I guess it will become more active after that . For your questions... All Security concepts you mentioned and some XML syntax for the digital signatures is required. Also you should know the concept and where all those security viz Web services security ,digital signature etc are used. Given a case scenario which security aspect best suits the need given the choices so they pretty much cover the entire range. I wouldnt feel comfortable doing just one of those security concepts at least thats my experience from the Beta. HTH Dhiren
